The Brief
The Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Saudi Arabia required a bilingual signage system that could accommodate both Arabic and English while maintaining the clarity, accessibility and refinement expected of a luxury hospitality environment. The system needed to support intuitive wayfinding throughout the property while reflecting the cultural context of its location and aligning with the hotel's interior architecture.

Deliverables
Wayfinding Signage • Directional Signage • Iconography Development • Bilingual Signage System

The Concept
Drawing inspiration from Najdi architecture, the signage system incorporated references to regional materials such as mud brick, clay and stone, alongside geometric forms rooted in local design traditions. This approach created a visual language that felt culturally grounded while remaining contemporary and understated. Through careful consideration of typography, hierarchy and materiality, the system balanced functionality with elegance, ensuring a seamless experience for both Arabic and English-speaking guests.

Two styles of patterns were designed to be used on the interior signs. The patterns were inspired by the Najdi architecture.
